Email List Building

By John Anghelache

Smart online marketers know that your email list contains big money.

Ever hear that before? Online direct marketers know the key to big money is to build a big, responsive list. Then to "monetize" the list for maximum profits.

Here's how you make that happen...

You're about to discover a secret to making easy money from any email list. First, let's get clear about why people join your list. This is important for you to really understand.

You see, these folks are looking for three things: contact... content... and... offers.

Join an autoresponder service so you can keep in contact with the folks on your list. Send them an electronic newsletter about the topic they are interested in. A couple of times a week email them offers you feel good about.

Let's put these fundamentals together. My suggestion is that you get set up with a web-based autoresponder service. Then plug in 52 pure content emails that go out once per week. These will give your subscribers the first two things they want: contact and content.

However, you don't make any money by contacting your list with just good info. You make your money by strategically working sales offers into your contact mix.

I like sending out two or three sales offers throughout the week. These offers are sent in broadcast emails. I write an email about a particular product or service. I include my affiliate or direct link to the website sales page for the product. The email is sent right away using the broadcast feature of my autoresponder service.

Sales offer emails should contain either links to products you affiliate with or links to your own products. The process I like is finding 10 to 15 good affiliate products. Then I send out sales offers a couple of times per week for the same product.

Then do the same thing with the second affiliate product. Repeat this process until you go through all of them.

After you promote the ten or so affiliate products look at the results. Some of those products got a lot of sales. Make a note of the top two or three. You're going to use those to create your own version. This process works best with info products.

In a few short months, you'll have a bunch of your own hot sellers. Plug the promotions for these products into your autoresponder series.

Keep track of sales. Because before long you'll notice that one of those products you created is bringing in lots of sales. Take that product and create a high priced tele-coaching program.

Sometimes I forego creating my own version of the product and just create a high-priced coaching program. It depends. The idea is to let your subscribers tell you what they will buy. Based on affiliate products they are purchasing. Then you develop your own version of the best selling affiliate products.

Do this over and over again and you'll probably be making six-figures from your list.

Big Mistakes to Avoid in Video Marketing

By Terry Stanfield

Video marketing is very important for an online business today. However, there are many ways that a business will fail when they practice the wrong techniques. It is important to utilize video properly so you are successful with your efforts to increase website traffic.

There are many common mistakes people make when they are attempting a video ad marketing campaign. These mistakes can cost a business their success. Here are six things you should avoid when you practice video marketing.

1. Use the wrong camera. If you have a camera on your cell phone it doesn't mean you should use it for professional purposes. The quality of the resolution and picture are very poor coming from a cell phone. Never shoot your videos from a cell phone or a digital camera. Be sure to have a high quality camera so you shoot a high quality video.

2. Shooting a video in a garage. One of the biggest mistakes is the location people choose. However, you can produce a video anywhere you want to but you must be mindful about the background you have. It would be wise to invest in a backdrop for your video marketing if you are limited on space.

3. Not editing the video. Many companies shoot a video for their video ad marketing and they don't edit it. They shoot the video and walk away. This leaves space and extra breaks that are unnecessary. This may also cause a video to be far too long for the customer's attention span.

4. Not marketing. When you have a video online you have to market. You can increase website traffic when you create a website page for the video and get the word out the video is ready for viewing. Who will know your video exists if you don't practice the right methods of marketing?

5. Using the wrong person. Many video marketing ads fail because they use the wrong person in the ad. Let's face it. You need someone who is pleasing to look at and who has a voice that is pleasing to hear. A scratchy or screechy voice will only drive customers away. Someone who looks funny will only cause customers to focus on how strange the person talking looks and not on your product. Make sure the 'face' of your video is someone who is nice to look at.

6. Not taking advantage of the opportunity. Video marketing is another opportunity to drive more traffic to your site. You must do everything you can with your videos. This means placing keywords in the video as an overlay. These keywords are also beneficial for search engines too. Always put your company URL in the video too.

Video marketing campaigns can go wrong in so many ways. It is important to consider many things that you should not do when you are shooting a video. These things include using a poor camera, an unattractive person, no backdrop, no editing, no marketing, and not properly taking advantage of the opportunity.
