Home Buying Tips For Beginners

By John Kron

Thinking of getting out of rental properties and owning your own home? Real Estate can be an intimidating and frightening topic for those new to the market. Here are a few ideas to get you started. Of course, lots of research is a good idea before you really get at it.

1. Find a real estate agent that you feel comfortable with, and that has experience in your market. If you can locate an agent that understands your needs and is willing to put the effort into meeting them, then you are on the right track.

Your real estate agent should be able to provide you with a report of recent market activity in your area. In order to find a home for the best price and value, it is important to compare new properties on the market with selling prices of other, similar homes.

3.Have the home inspected. For this inspection you need a third party inspection company. This will let you know of any problems with foundation, roof, etc. Before you buy is the time to know the true condition a home is in.

4. Talk to your financial institution before you are ready to buy. If possible, get an idea of the price range they can support you for. In some cases, a pre-approved mortgage may be available.

5. Weigh the pros and cons of any home, and try not to let eagerness and emotions get the best of you. It is easy to jump in with both feet right away, but not always the wisest course. Discuss everything with your real estate agent.

6.Be aware of different negotiating tactics and styles. An offer that is too low may upset the seller, and make counter offers less appealing. An experienced real estate agent can help you get through offer situations.

7. Any legal documents you might sign need to be fully understood. If you are unsure of your rights and obligations, make sure you ask your real estate agent to explain them to you.

Remember, your best bet is to find a real estate agent that knows the ropes, and that is working to find you the best home you can afford. Good luck finding your perfect home!

Finding Clients In An Ocean Of Competition

By Terry Stanfield

There is more business being done online than ever before. There are hundreds of thousands of new business web sites coming on every month. 70% of the US population (233 million people) are online. Over 1.2 billion people worldwide are online. The question is how do we find clients in an ocean of competitors?

Part of the answer to the above question is which number do you focus on, the number of people on line or the number of competitors? If you are focused on the number of people online, read on. If you are more focused on the number of competitors, read on.

Search engine marketing has been proven to have the lowest cost per acquisition of any other marketing medium. It is the only medium where people are actively searching for you. A successful campaign should include a web site designed around one question: "What are your clients looking for?" This is the starting point and may seem basic but it is surprising how many people have are just scratching the surface in their understanding of this.

Your clients are in need of solutions, answers or products. Do they know:

1.that you exist? 2.the unique value that you bring to the table? 3.the depth of knowledge and experience you can bring to bear in helping them solve their issues? 4.the passion that you have for meeting their needs?

SEO Management SEO (search engine optimization), is the art helping people find what they are looking for, on your site". A well optimized website requires two elements the correct "on page" optimization so that the search engines can determine the relevancy of the information you are presenting. Yes, it is not as important as it use to be but it is still needed. Another essential piece of the puzzle is "off page optimization". This is having web sites linking back to yours. You may think that you are important and provide a great service to mankind but if no one else does you will not get ranked well. Quality links to your web site and an on going linking strategy is absolutely vital for good rankings. SEO optimization is not a onetime deal it is an ongoing process.

PPC Management Pay-per-click is a fantastic way to drive traffic to your site from the major search engines. It can also suck your marketing budget dry in just a couple of days if not done properly. The goal of the search engines (and their strategies) is more clicks. The more people click on your ads the more money the search engines make. Their strategy is to get as many clicks as possible with in your budget and they are willing to do that all day long. Great for them bad for you.

The real goal should be more conversion with less clicks and lower cost. For lead generation sites this will mean lower cost per conversion. For e commerce sites this will result in a higher "return on ad spend". It is easy to figure out: profit/ad spend=% and if that % is not over 101% you are losing money! The only way to do that is to track every thing from clicks to conversions; cost per click to cost per conversion; total revenue. PPC Management should be the process that is designed to make that happen.

Click Fraud Management Click Fraud is a fact of life in the online world. The search engines are getting better at detecting and crediting their online advertisers. The key is to find a Click Fraud program that can track an IP address even if the go to another search engine and click on your ads and give them a warning that they are being tracked. It is amazing how bad behavior stops if the they know they are being watched and tracked! Also, some click fraud caused by our clients who find it easier to keep clicking on our ad instead of book marking our page. This will give them a gentle reminder to do that.

Many Roads It is also important to examine as many roads to your site as possible. Find blogs where your clients hang out. Write articles and publish them on the web. There are hundreds of sites that will publish you articles for free. For a nominal fee some sites will push your article out to thousands of other sites looking for content, Isnare.com is a good example. This is great from three perspectives. One, you will get a tremendous amount of links back to your site. Secondly, this will lead to increase traffic and thirdly writing articles will help establish you as an expert in your field. There are newsletters, co-registration, affiliate marketing. The key is to research these and see what will work for you.

Hire or not to Hire outside help

"How do I know if I need help?"

You might need help if:

1.Your clients and customers are not able to find you on the search engines. 2.You do not know why your competitors are in the top ten search results and you are on page 10,001! 3.You can not keep up with the changing technologies and even the changes in the market. 3.You do not have the time to take away from what you do best, running your business!

If you do need help, do your home work.

1.Get references and call them. 2.Get specifics about how they have helped their clients. 3.Find out how many clients they have and how many your account manager will handle. 4.Get a specific action calendar. Know what they are going to do and when it will be complete. 5.Make sure they understand your products, services and goals. 6.Do not be afraid to get another company to "audit" their work.

Finally This is serious business and one can loose a lot of money and time very quickly if you do not do it correctly. The bottom line is, if your customers cannot find you, they will find someone else. If you do not have someone in house with a passion to help grow your business. Find someone who knows what is important to the search engines and will not get you banned.

How To Get Success in your Online Business

By Dirk Andersen

For many people who wish to start their own business and are looking for ways to make money fast, the internet has opened up a whole new world of opportunities, allowing them to copy any real world business model and turn it into a reality on the internet. The internet truly offers endless business opportunities.

Most importantly, setting up an online business is relatively easy and can be done straight from the comfort of your own home without any prerequisites. Most of the information required are readily available from the internet. You could be a stay-at-home mom in Singapore making some income doing data entry jobs outsourced from all over the world or a retiree making a decent side income teaching others how to knit online. The possibilities are truly unlimited.

Another significant advantage of starting an online business is the low operating costs. All you need is a PC and a reliable internet connection and you are in business. Of course, having a comfortable and cozy location where you can concentrate on your work is certainly even more ideal.

However, along with the endless business opportunities, there can also be flips and setbacks too if you are not careful enough when starting your own online business. Undoubtedly, there are indeed many ways different ways people can make money online, but when you really examine the reasons why still so many people fail online, the reasons for their failure are somewhat more well defined.

And if you pause for a moment and reflect on this, you will probably realize that the the fastest track to online business success may not lie in the abundant opportunities available but to first to research what are the reasons causing so many people to fail in their online businesses, learn from the common mistakes made and avoid making them ourselves.

In my opinion, there are about 5 common mistakes that most people make that often results in the high number of online business failures. And these include the following.

Mistake No. 1 : The "Illusion" That No Work Is Required. This may be the most attractive aspect of most Get-Rich-Quick opportunities but also the killer downfall factor that most aspiring marketers make when starting their own online business. Perhaps in the initial stages, you may enjoy a small profit but it's unlikely to sustain long term growth for your online businesses if little or no efforts are required right?

Mistake No. 2 : Lack Of Branding For Your Online Business. The inability to establish your business's online branding could result in disastrous outcome for your online business. Without credibility and trust, nobody would want to do business with you. That is why you need to build your online credibility by becoming the "Expert" in your own niche. Give out valuable and relevant advice to visitors and potential customers.

Mistake No. 3 : Helping Build Other People's List Instead Of Your Own. Most beginner business owners often make the mistake of sending referrals directly to their associated affiliated sites without even collecting their visitor's contact information first. By doing so, they are practically giving their potential customer base to other business owners who have an opt in box all set up to reap the benefits of your marketing efforts. This gives them absolutely no benefits for any future marketing opportunities.

Mistake No. 4 : Inadequate Positioning Of Ads. The placement of your ads on your website is critical. If you are sending paid visitors to your site for the sole purpose of promoting products you are selling, then it makes no sense to have ads on your site that might possibly divert traffic away.

Mistake No. 5 : Pay Per Click Dilemma. Pay Per Click advertising can be a double edged sword when it comes to making or breaking your online business. PPC advertising is undoubtedly one of the most effective traffic generation tool on the market today. It is in itself a skill that needs to be learned and mastered if it were to work wonders for your online business. Unfortunately, most business owners fail to realize this and often waste tons of advertising dollars with no apparent results to show for.

In fact, we have barely scratched the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the reasons why so many people fail to make even a single cent online but the main lesson that any business owner can benefit from this is the fact that the fastest track to online business success may not necessary lie on what business model they chose but to first learn from other people's mistakes and mot make the same old mistakes when they start building their own business online.
